Loyal followers of the pop star are demanding that a person who breached a fence and touched the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared video shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past photographers and lunging at Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway accompanied by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being detained", though legal records showed that he was due to appear on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram profile features recordings of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last December.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is evidently a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Voice Worry Over Ariana's Safety

Numerous supporters criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another comment on Instagram.

Several fans also criticised guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while some called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande appeared surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Numerous of attendees had assembled in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore mall, including some who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a two-film adaptation of the popular Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two very different witches.

The show itself is a derivative of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen award recognitions, winning two for best costume and set decoration.
