Netflix Chooses Ideal Actor for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has just been cast.
The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Mr. 2. Bon Clay has the ability to morph into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that figure re-envisioned as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, as in the initial comic and anime.
The new cast member joins several other fresh additions set to bring the group to life, such as chief the main antagonist, portrayed by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Although this character is a major member of the group, the character won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Considering season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this represents a significant shift in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could signal more adjustments to the story’s structure.
Escola’s blend of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the part. In addition to their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
Netflix's live-action One Piece show is due to premiere for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
