Tehran is prepared to restart nuclear discussions with the United States as long as it is approached with "dignity" and "respect", Iran's foreign minister has stated.

Abbas Araghchi declared solely negotiations worked, and shared fresh requests had come from mediators to restart negotiations with the American leadership. He claimed Iran possessed no secret atomic facilities, and Iran had not yet reached a point to permit the UN nuclear inspectorate to access attacked atomic facilities for security reasons.

Navigating a Difficult Course

Subsequently, Western states employed their privilege to reinstate global restrictions, but Iran insists they have not had a substantial consequence.

Perfect Agreement Suggested

Iranian officials said they felt they had attained a "perfect agreement" to the uranium processing matter in prior discussions, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with American involvement could refine atomic fuel. Both sides would have been able to assert triumph since domestic enrichment would have remained and the US could be certain that Iran's atomic project was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been agreed in the talks that US nuclear scientists could operate inside Iran, but that was a reasonable assumption of the cooperative offer.
