The visionary game developer, the mind behind the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.
The renowned game designer died after his car crashed and burst into flames on a freeway in LA on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
